Two hours on average. During the procedure we will consult with you the entire time ensuring you are comfortable with what work is being done now.  Much of the time is spent measuring and drawing on a symmetrical set of brows and agreeing on your perfect shape and color. The touch-up appointment will take about an hour.

The follow up appointment is also known as the retouch appointment. A Retouch appointment is Not required. It is not included in the price of your initial session. However, the price would be lower than the initial price point. Please refer to the booking link for details https://square.site/book/2NVB3JQDDQTXN/cinthia-s-beauty-ink-san-diego-ca

The treatment is considered semi-permanent and will fade over time. Touch-ups are recommended every 1-2 years to maintain shape, color, and detail. How often depends on several factors including:

– Skin type (oily skin fades faster)

– Pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster)

– Sun exposure (over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment)

-Use of daily anti-aging products e.g.- (Tretinoin (Retin-A) & Alpha Hydroxy). These products increase your cell turnover rate and will shorten the life of your cosmetic tattoo

The pain level is likened to eyebrow threading, a bit uncomfortable but not painful.  We do all that we can to ensure that the process is as comfortable as possible. Before the Microblading begins, a topical anesthetic is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, followed by a liquid anesthetic during the procedure. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort, but it’s relatively pain free for most.

(PLEASE NOTE that if you are a frequent smoker, or have your appointment during your menstrual cycle, the pain level could be intensified.)

You must avoid working out for 7 days following your microblading appointment. Light exercising is allowed (minimal sweating), but you must clean the area with lukewarm water as soon as you are done exercising. The salt in sweat will fade the pigment very quickly and give poor results.

To ensure the highest quality of safety, all our tools are one time use only. All blades, hand tools, wipes, and any other product used during the procedure are disposed of as biohazardous waste after each appointment, giving each client peace of mind.

If you have an ideal shape and color in mind, bring a few reference photos with you to your appointment.

You may fill in your eyebrows as you normally would so we can take into consideration the shape you desire.

If you regularly get your eyebrows shaped, waxed, threaded, or tinted, please do so at least 3 days before your appointment.

If you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you must wait at least six months before considering this procedure.

Follow our precare instructions you will receive in your email.

You must stop using Retinol 2 weeks prior to your appointment and avoid using it for the 4 weeks following your appointment.

If you get Botox regularly, please get that done no later than 3 weeks before your appointment. This is to ensure we can make your brows as symmetrical as possible.

Avoid chemical peels at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment.

Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks before and after your procedure. Do not come to your appointment with a sunburn. In this case, email us at least 48 hours prior to your appointment to reschedule.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, or any blood thinning medication 24 hours prior to your appointment.

If you plan to go on a vacation, it is recommended to plan your trip a minimum of 10 days after the procedure due to the aftercare maintenance.

Immediately following your procedure, the brow area will appear to be darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined, do not panic, this will last 3-4 days. It is normal and it will eventually soften.

Swelling and redness is minimal with most clients and will disappear within 24-48 hours.  In some cases, it may last around the eyebrow area for up to 3 days but will not prevent working or socializing. The treated area may feel a bit like a sunburn afterwards but there should only be minimal discomfort.

The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. During this process, your tattoo will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color, as it seems to take on new strength, and it is only after 6 weeks that your touch-up/adjustment can be done. Keep in mind that microblade brows healed up to 30% softer than the initial color.

Please note that results cannot be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. The tattooed hair strokes tend to have a crisper look once healed on dry skin compared to more blurry strokes on oily skin. We will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your touch-up appointment and make any changes necessary.

Healed results will vary with each individual client and using a pencil or powder may still be needed. Additional sessions (charged accordingly) may be required to obtain optimal results.

Detailed instructions will be provided to you

– Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, you may apply sunscreen on the treated area. Wear large sunglasses and a hat for further protection. Rinse and dry the area thoroughly when in contact with chlorine.

– Glycolic Acid, Retin-A, face peels and exfoliation must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use could lighten the pigment.

-If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician.  Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.

Approximately 2 hours, we recommend being punctual and reserving the full space in your agenda so you can be relaxed and attentive in your appointment.

We recommend a touch-up or enhanced appointment no earlier than week 6 until week 10. At this appointment we can make adjustments, color, thickness. Once you see the final result in 4 weeks, if you do not want to make changes and/or add more color, this follow-up appointment is not necessary. His next appointment would be in a year for a color refresher.

The design of your eyebrows may change slightly in later years due to the severity of skin aging or drastic changes in your appearance such as weight loss. However, in your subsequent appointments we can make the necessary adjustments if this is the case.

The length of a microblading procedure depends on the client’s age, lifestyle, and skin type. For a young person; the color disappears faster as well as to an active person, or a person with oily skin, however the most lasting results are obtained in normal or dry skin, people with mature skin or people who do not do so many outdoor activities. .

Once the initial session and the enhanced appointment have been made, we do not recommend before one year.

Of course you can send us photos of your eyebrows without makeup and with good lighting, photos from the front to the email cinthiah@phibrows.com to be able to consult your doubts or questions. Or we also have the option of scheduling a consultation directly in the studio where we can clarify your doubts, do an allergy test, even do a design test.

You may bring an image or design in order to explain your taste to the brow artist however; We cannot replicate these images since each design is personalized according to the bone structure and face of each client.

We do not recommend brow lamination prior to microblading, at least 30 days prior to your microblading appointment in order to see your natural brow growth and perform a totally imperialistic procedure.

We also ask that you wait 30 days after your procedure to perform the service and not affect the color and final result.

We recommend waiting up to 7 days after performing your microblading service.

We recommend performing your botox service 3 weeks before or after your microblading appointment.

A correctly performed microblading procedure will never affect the natural growth of your eyebrows, on the contrary it will stimulate growth.

Absolutely, the eyebrow artist will always test the design before beginning the procedure. However the design/shape will be according to your bone structure.

Due to the innovation in the permanent makeup industry and the quality of products that we use, it is possible to withdraw your previous work.
